Jodie Teuton is co-founder of Kenworth of Louisiana, representing Kenworth and Hino brands. Before joining the retail auto and truck business in 1997, she practiced law in Louisiana. An advocate for her industry, Teuton is the current chairwoman of the American Truck Dealers.

Jon Pritchett is president and CEO of Nextran Truck Centers, which he co-founded in. Pritchett is responsible for Nextran’s comprehensive strategic vision, which has resulted in significant growth to 16 full-service dealerships and over 940 employees serving Florida, Georgia and Alabama. With the addition of a rental and leasing division in 2013, Pritchett has positioned Nextran as one of the leading heavy-duty truck dealership organizations in the U.S.

Pritchett is also president of Pritchett Trucking Inc., a regional truckload carrier with more than 300 units, founded in 1975 by his father, Marvin. Pritchett serves on the board of the Mack Trucks National Dealer Council and is ATD’s Mack Trucks line representative. He has served as chairman of the Florida Trucking Association and on the boards of publicly traded companies such as CNB National Bank and The South Financial Group. In 2018, Jon and his wife, Kelly, founded the Nextran Foundation with a mission to impact the wellness of children and families within the communities of Nextran’s employees.

At the Sunday general session, 2020-2021 ATD Chairman Steve Bassett will announce his goals and platform for ATD during his term. Plus, find out who will be named 2020 Truck Dealer of the Year; this national award recognizes commercial-truck dealers for business performance, industry leadership and community service.

Second-generation dealer Steve Bassett represents the Volvo, Mack, Hino and Isuzu brands and employs 180 people at three locations in Indiana and Ohio.

After working at his father’s GMC Truck dealership in Muncie, Indiana, during high school and college vacations, Bassett graduated from Indiana University and General Motors’ Dealership Management Development Program. He became dealer principal and owner in 1990. Over the next 30 years, he purchased a second dealership in Ohio, started a lease and rental operation and, most recently, built two new facilities.  

Steve is a four-time winner of Volvo Truck’s Dealer of the Year award for North America and has been nominated twice for ATD’s Dealer of the Year award.Bassett was a member of the Volvo Truck Dealer Council for 15 years, including two as chairman. He represented the Volvo dealer network as ATD line representative before being elected vice chairman of ATD in 2019.
